About the instructor

Lupe Lopez proudly served her county as a Hospital Corpsmen in the US Navy for 10 years. Later, she entered the occupational health and safety field, working with small to large construction companies to help improve their safety programs.  Lopez has safety certifications including:  OSHA 501- General Industry, OSHA 510 Construction, EM-385 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Contractor Safety and Health, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor. Using her extensive safety training background, as a licensed independent insurance agent, Lopez works with business owners to help manage their risk and secure insurance policies.  Lopez is well versed in the safety cultures of the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland area. She is also bilingual in Spanish.
